FloydFest #14
14 years of FloydFest and it just gets better and better! After hanging out at the new Sloss Festival in Birmingham the weekend prior, our favorite summer tradition kicked off with a drive down to Southern Virginia in our shiny, newly wrapped van. After setting up camp, it was time to bust out the classic Starr Hill balloons to tower over the other happy campers. For those in the know, folks who pour beer at festivals are typically volunteers who don't work for the brewery. They put in long, hard hours and make it happen all weekend long. We were fortunate to have the BEST volunteers on the face of the planet, with whom we danced and laughed our way through the weekend. Not to mention all of the great FloydFest friends we run into from other breweries and years past, it's always an incredible weekend spent in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Oh, and did we mention the music? From old-timey bluegrass and folk to hair-raising rock and hip-hop, it's no surprise why we LOVE this festival. Plus there's nothing like capping it all off with fireworks and a massive bonfire. Check out photos from our favorite performances below, including First Aid Kit, Lord Huron, and Grace Potter.
