Prost! To Another Oktoberfest at Starr Hill
Cheers to everyone who came out to celebrate our 2nd annual Oktoberfest event at Starr Hill Brewery!Attendees sported pretzel necklaces while competing in heated games of giant Jenga. The UVA win had Wahoos young and old in good spirits and bursting with cheers! Legions of festies and fans packed into the photo booth to fit their crew in one frame. Tunes started flowing from the Tap Room stage at 2; Travis Elliott got the groove going, serving up an infectious solo set and Chamomile and Whiskey brought down the house with their eclectic mountain funk. In short, an amazing day was had by all, with friends and family from around Central Virginia enjoying steins filled with German-style beers, tasty bratwursts, and some incredible live and local music.A big thanks to our amazing chefs: Chef Curtis Shaver of Hamiltons’ at First & Main / Sandwich Lab, Chef Tommy Lasley of Ivy Provisions / Fry's Spring Station, and Chef Angelo Vangelopoulos of Ivy Inn Restaurant for their incredible food. Congratulations to Curtis and the Hamilton's crew for retaining their crown as the top Oktoberfest dish!If you missed out, there's still a chance to try some of the new and limited-release German-style beers in the Tap Room, including the new Berliner Weisse, Festie Oktoberfest Lager, Helles Bock, and Warehouse Pils. Here's our Spotify playlist of Oktoberfest polka and drinking songs for you to keep the party going:
