Starr Hill Brewery and the Byrd Theatre Foundation partner to celebrate the Theatre's 95th anniversary and Terminator 2: Judgment Day with special beer, Owl Be Back.
Richmond, VA - Starr Hill Brewery and the Byrd Theatre Foundation are thrilled to announce their partnership to create a special beer, Owl Be Back, to celebrate the Theatre's 95th anniversary and a special showing of Terminator 2: Judgment Day on Saturday, March 18th, 2023.
Owl Be Back, a West Coast-style IPA at 7.5% ABV, has/offers a bold hop aroma, balanced bitterness, with citrus and piney notes, and will be available starting in March, at the Richmond Release Party. It will debut in 16oz cans in 4-packs and on draft at Starr Hill Beer Hall and Rooftop in Richmond, VA, and then will become available at Starr Hill's five other locations as well as at the Byrd Theatre and participating independent retailers (search our Beer Finder here).
In honor of the partnership, the Byrd Theatre Foundation has been selected as the Richmond Tap Room's featured Cheers for Charity partner during March. There will be a month-long series of events at the brewery, including Movie Trivia Night, where attendees can win prizes and learn more about the Byrd Theatre's rich history.
In Terminator 2: Judgment Day, "Skynet," an artificial superintelligence system, learns rapidly and eventually becomes a risk as it is now self-aware. The artwork on this label was created using the artificial intelligence program Midjourney, which was more focused on puns than human destruction... for now.

"Beer and movies are two of my biggest passions. I have wanted to combine them for a while, hence how this collaboration came about. I thought to myself, ‘what would be the perfect beer to go with a 90s old school action movie?’ and so it was clear that a West Coast IPA had to be the best match for Terminator 2!"
